literally the best book in the series it was so good!!

Very interesting, a lot happened。 I'm happy for Zoya and Nikolai, he deserves happiness。 Also it's very cool to me that they brought Kaz in, Kaz Jesper and Wylan pulling a heist in a book that's not even theirs。 Very interesting, a lot happened。 I'm happy for Zoya and Nikolai, he deserves happiness。 Also it's very cool to me that they brought Kaz in, Kaz Jesper and Wylan pulling a heist in a book that's not even theirs。 。。。more

Leigh Bardugo has a way with words。 However, she tends to use them to break all our hearts。 And this book is no exception。 Rule of wolves was freaking amazing! The characters, old and new, made my heart ache, made me scream, and smile。 I am not ready to leave the Grisha verse behind。 I need more。

This book felt like the Avenger’s Endgame of the Grishaverse。 It was awesome。 I don’t know what else to say about it other than it made me cry, and also feel so happy for the characters I love。 Also the ending??!! I am so excited for the possible future of the Grishaverse considering Miss Bardugo just signed a giant book deal。 (view spoiler)[ I didn’t know anything about this duology before I read it other than Nikolai and Zoya got together and that was a slowwww burn that I enjoyed a lot。 But m This book felt like the Avenger’s Endgame of the Grishaverse。 It was awesome。 I don’t know what else to say about it other than it made me cry, and also feel so happy for the characters I love。 Also the ending??!! How did the last chapter of this POV end??”。 Didn’t like the craziness of the different storylines。 Zoya and Nickolai foreverrrrr。 I remember not liking them a ton individually but I loved reading about them in King of Scars and this book。 Nina and Hanne??? Bro I was so confused at first I was like is it me (👀👀) or is there something fruity going on?? But I didn’t think so cause uhm Nina and Matthias!! But I was wrong and yay!!! Didn’t necessarily liked how their storyline ended like I get that hanne felt more comfy in a guys body but uhm, she has to fake being a stupid prince like that sucks。 DAVID DIED? WTF。 That came out of nowhere and I was pissed。 OMG KAZ AND WYLAN AND JESPER AND INEJ AHHHHHH god I love them Overall, when I think back to this book, I enjoyed reading it based on the characters and the couples。 As far as plot (Ravka vs Fjerda and everyone else), I didn’t really care for… it wasn’t bad but I just didn’t feel any yearning to read about that plot/the battle。 Also didn’t care for the darkling and his whole “sacrifice”。 I did like how nickolai and zoya became “monsters” like that was quite badass。 But darkling dude why can’t you stay dead。 also this ended on SUCH a potential to have a third book。 I thought this would end like nice and sweet and then you get to the last chapter and you’re like WHAT? OMG。 There better be a third book that focuses on the crows like pls pls pls。 。。。more

This was the PERFECT culmination to the grishaverse。 (Maybe it won’t be the end- a girl can hope right 😉) this book was hectic and all over the place but in the best way。 It kept me on my toes and propelled me forward rivht to the end where now I’m just upset that it’s over。。

I loved Hanne as a character, and was surprisingly behind him and Nina (you know since Matthais died in Nina's arms etc), but I just felt so confused by him turning into Rasmus。 Leigh really said this makes no sense but whatever。 Like I don't understand how Hanne can pretend to be the prince and Nina can become his wife。 Could they not have escaped and lived a happy life elsewhere ? I'd fully support that over them both pretending (forever presumably) in the Fjerdan court/royal family。 I also didn't like Hanne's 'death'。 Fake deaths are a cheap way to draw emotion from your reader。 Oh, David also died, but I again didn't feel much because I felt like we didn't spend any time with him。 I just didn't care :/ I get that books don't have to be happy, but I felt thoroughly depressed all the way through。 And then the end didn't uplift me at all, I don't know if it was meant to be a neutral ending, but it just felt lackluster。 Moreover, I thought there was too much going on, too many different characters and plot lines that the book just became exhausting。 Nikolai and Zoya kept me going through the majority of this, and that's about the most positive thing I can say (other than Jesper and Wylan's cameo)。 Overall, feeling a bit deflated after that 。  。。。more

Eh?Eh!

I really enjoyed these 2 books, the wide-ranging and expansive story that felt real because she writes it to life。 I think this could be epic fantasy, those series that seem to never end。 But while I would love to read more of these characters and their adventures, I'm relieved that she speeds to wrap things up and gives them some peace。 It does get too clipped and neat, skipping over some questions, like she's hastily shuffling papers together and setting them down w/o squaring off the corners。 I really enjoyed these 2 books, the wide-ranging and expansive story that felt real because she writes it to life。 I think this could be epic fantasy, those series that seem to never end。 But while I would love to read more of these characters and their adventures, I'm relieved that she speeds to wrap things up and gives them some peace。 It does get too clipped and neat, skipping over some questions, like she's hastily shuffling papers together and setting them down w/o squaring off the corners。 That dangler she leaves at the end - I'm not exasperated at all。 I'd be happy to see the continuation of the story in the future。 Please do string together these short duologies and trilogies to make an epic set。 。。。more
